Elijah Studio (Ariana, Tunisia) makes BACKROOM. This policy explains what we collect and why. Contact: [email protected].

What we collect

• Account: your email address, and your name if you sign in with Google or Apple.
• Licence: an anonymous identifier for your Mac (a one-way hash, not your serial number), your Mac’s name, and when the licence was last checked.
• Agreement records: which version of our Terms and EULA you accepted, when, and the IP address and browser used — kept as proof of the agreement and to resolve payment disputes.
• Purchases: plan, status and renewal dates, received from Paddle. We never see or store your card details.

What we don’t collect

Your footage, audio, project files and their contents never leave your Mac. The app has no analytics or advertising trackers.

Who processes data for us

• Supabase (EU, Frankfurt) — accounts and licence records.
• Paddle — our Merchant of Record for payments, invoices and tax (Paddle privacy policy).
• Google / Apple — only if you choose to sign in with them.

Why

To provide your account and licence, prevent licence abuse and fraud, enforce our Terms and EULA, defend payment disputes, give support and meet legal obligations.

How long

While your account exists. Delete your account by emailing us and we remove your data within 30 days, except records we must keep by law, and agreement and payment records, which we keep for up to 5 years after your last purchase to resolve disputes.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, export or delete your data at any time by emailing us.

Cookies

This website uses no tracking cookies. The checkout page loads Paddle, which uses cookies needed for payment.
